John Navarro
Biography:
Dr. John C Navarro is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Sam Houston State University. They joined the faculty at Sam Houston State University in 2020 after earning their Ph.D. at the University of Louisville. Dr. Navarro focuses on researching public opinion, crime and media, and gender and society, with a focus on attitudes and framing effects related to various criminal justice issues through experimental survey methodologies. Dr. Navarro's work has been featured in respected journals like the British Journal of Criminology, Journal of Experimental Criminology, Policing: An International Journal, Sexual Abuse, and Urban Studies. In addition to their research, they also teach classes on introduction to criminal justice, research methods, and crime and the media.Recent Publications:
