Andrea Sanchez, MSW, LCSW-S, joined Sam Houston State University in 2012 to teach exclusively for the College of Criminal Justice. She received a Masters of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She also has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas. She further pursued licensure from the State of Texas to practice psychotherapy followed by a post clinical license to continue specialized practice in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. She is currently a practicing psychotherapist and a quality management analyst for Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital. She oversees evidence based practices to monitor and ensure best treatment outcomes for patients and families.
